Ralph & Shirley Hagemeier and Stephenie

Kigoma, Tanzania, Africa

Ralph Hamemeier was missions secretary for the American Assemblies of God in Tanzania.  In addition, he built a Bible school at Dodoma, which has 300 students today.

He felt led to cross Lake Tanganyika to invest his ministry in the Democratic Republic of Congo.  About 1983, he visited us when we were resident missionaries in Kalemie, Shaba, D.R.C.  In 1984, he visited again and went with me to Fizi for the General Assembly of the Community of the Assemblies of God in Africa (C.A.D.A.F.)  The Lord led the us to leave Congo after the rebel attack on the Kalemie airport in December, 1984.

Ralph and Shirley Hagemeiers came with several volunteers in September, 1985.  They moved and expanded the Agape Bible Institute that the Willners and Gardners had developed from the Bible institute that had been started by the African brethren. Over the next years, the army tents that were used for housing students and classrooms gave way to permanent structures for dormitories, an office, a dining room, teacher's residences, and then more dormitories. Now they have a one hundred acre campus, some donated by the government and some purchased. The Hagemeier's, Bible Outreach Ministries, has established the International Bible College, the Thibit Elementary and Secondary Schools, and a Health Center and Maturity Clinic, which offers free care for children.

Stephanie oversees the Thibiti (Foundation) elementary and secondary schools.  Today, there are one thousand day students.  Stephanie also looks after the Health Center and Maternity Clinic, offering free care for pre-natal care for mothers and children.

Ralph & Shirley Hagemeier and Stephanie have endured through more than eight years of civil war.  .  Thank you for your prayers and financial support for the Hagemeiers. To learn more about the Hagemeier's ministries you can follow Ralph here on Facebook.
