Bill Britton
Bill Britton Ministries with Becky Britton Voltz

Bill Britton, born May 23, 1923 and transitioned to glory on July 16, 1985, was a Bible teacher and writer who is known for popularizing the message of "Sonship". This teaching explains the need for Christians to grow in maturity in Christ. "Christ in you the hope of glory" (Colossians 1:27), "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." (Romans 8:14), "Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ." (Ephesians 4:13) These teachings were a characteristic part of the Latter Rain Revival in 1948. Other characteristics of this revival were the gifts of prophecy, and healing.

The Bill Britton Ministries website is home to a vast amount of resources of articles and teachings he penned on Sonship. You will be thrilled to find them if you knew of him before he passed to glory, and if you haven't had the chance to hear his teachings before, you will be thrilled to find a new, powerful series of resources.

Bill Britton was an excellent role-model for young preachers.  He walked with stature and authority, while exhibiting the love and compassion of our Lord Jesus Christ. He encouraged young preachers to move into their ministries at the House of Prayer. He was a generous minister who led by example in supporting other ministries.

Bill Britton ordained Charles Willner into the ministry on February 14, 1967, as an elder at the House of Prayer, dba Fountain of Life, in Springfield, Missouri. Fern Crouch was a secretary to Bill Britton before she was married. Bill Britton performed the wedding ceremony for Charles Willner and Fern Crouch at the House of Prayer on April 4, 1965. Charles was an elder in the House of Prayer for several years. Charles and Fern Willner both received ministerial experience under Bill Britton's ministry including at the Overcomer Teaching Center, in Springfield, that operated from January 1971 to June 1985. The House of Prayer supported Charles and Fern Willner in their missionary ministry in Kenya from 1972 to 1974, and in the Congo from 1981 to 1984.
