Welcome to Open Word Ministries. This Bible-teaching, missionary minded ministry has, by the grace of God, been reaching out since its inception in June of 1970. God has lead this ministry primarily to reach throughout North America and parts of Africa, but we have had the blessing to also share with and support other ministries at work in other parts of the globe as well including India and Hong Kong. This website is meant to be touchstone to share what God is doing through this ministry and to help support other ministries through shared resources, many of which are our delight to share through a downloadable format free of cost.
To all of our partners through the years and to those who have supported us through some truly amazing experiences, we want to say thank you and God bless. You have reached more people than you could know and brought the hand of God near to some of the most vulnerable around the world. The American branch of Open Word Ministries has been a missions outreach of the House of Prayer, in Springfield, Missouri, U.S.A., since 1970. House of Prayer is an affiliated unit of the Independent Assemblies of God International (USA).
