February 2020 Newsletter

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Thank you for your faithful support of this missionary Bible teaching ministry. Preparing for the Judgement of the Last Days: “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:14) “Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:” (Ephesians 4:13) Modern day prophets are predicting that the age of grace is coming to an end, that the forces of evil are going to be manifested in an eruption of violence, and immorality. This was predicted by our Lord and the prophecies of the Bible. (Matthew 24:3-31; Luke 21:7-36; 1 Thessalonians 2:1-12) Therefore, the Church must begin to train Christians to be ready to stand in that evil day. (Luke 12:36) Like the apostle Paul in the Scriptures above, we should be pressing for the mark of the high calling, and coming to a measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. “But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. And they that understand among the people shall instruct many; yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by (plundering), many days. ... to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.” (Daniel 11:32-35) Joseph Mugo, Omega Pentecostal Churches, Kenya: Mugo writes that he concentrated his ministry in Kirinyaga District in January. He ministered in Omega churches in; Karumandi, Kiangombe, Kavote, and Kianyaga. He held a pastors’ seminar in Kianyaga. The new church plot has been surveyed and approved by the planning committee. Mugo thanks God for His care for them, and our great financial support. “You have so much encouraged us to keep going on.” Praise God, Mugo has received a generous anonymous donation for his ministry.

Community of the Assemblies of God in Africa, Bukavu, Congo: Jeremie Kamimbi is thankful for his personal support. Makumo Jean-Pierre is thankful the funds given to erect a CADAF sign by the main road. The director of the Assemblies of God Bible College, Aoci Ebongya, writes that the Second Trimester 2019-20 is going on well. They are so thankful for the funds sent to pay the salaries for January of the teachers, and staff. Lutho Mboko Eciba is very thankful for the funds sent for him to buy medications and food to treat him for his diabetes. The funds reached him in due time because he was not capable to stand up because of kidney and hip pains. He thanks God for providing him with insulin! Malanda Ubonga sends his heartfelt thanks for helping him to pay his hospital bills. Malanda was the Head Representative of CADAF for ten years. (He was head when the Willners were resident missionaries in the Congo from 1981 to ‘84.) Ralph & Shirley Hagemeier, and Stephanie, Bible Outreach Ministries, Kalemie, Congo: The Hagemeiers are rejoicing that they have received their sixth five-year permit from the government for their ninety-eight acre campus. Initially, they just had a Bible school, but after Stephanie’s coming in 1986, they added primary and secondary schools, as well as a dispensary that eventually grew into a medical center which is open twenty-four/seven. A church also meets on campus and they have housing not only for students, but for staff, missionaries, and quarters for guests. Their new pickup truck is such a blessing, hauling water from the lake for building, and hauling cement for construction projects. This trimester there are fourteen students in their Bible college. They are thankful to God for all the support they receive from us and many others.

Kennedy Muturi, Nairobi Pentecostal Bible College, Nairobi, Kenya: Director Kennedy writes, The Lord has been faithful in every way to our lives and ministry. It is today we began our degree class for the 2020 year. The class began with 21 students. The picture is for the graduation of the extension school in Meru. In the interior (of the country), training would not be possible if we did not take the Bible school to them. The funds you have sent supports a first year student who joined NPBC (in Nairobi) this year. She is an orphan who has the call to serve the Lord. This support will go a long way. On behalf of NPBC, once again, thank you. (The Willners were resident missionaries in Meru for a year and a half in 1973, and for six months in 1992.) Richard and Kathy McDonald, Radio Kahuzi, Bukavu, Congo: Richard and Kathy are praising the Lord for His guidance and deliverance in 2019, and beyond! They thank us for the faithfulness to the Lord and His work there in the Great Lakes Region in Africa. The McDonalds have come through many hindrances in the past year. Over Christmas two team members were hospitalized briefly. Although the repairs to their 2000 range Rover were successful, the mechanic did not come from Kigali to reset the electronics. They were planning on broadcasting the “Jesus Film” in Arabic. But their frequency was being jammed from Russia, and Iran. Currently, they are reaching out in English, French, Swahili, and others, but not Arabic, yet. Pray for the equipment coming from Sonset Solutions which was to arrive February 15. They are trusting the Lord for funds to complete this project. Geoffrey Kimani, Sonship Ministry Fellowship, Nakuru, Kenya: Geoffrey writes that he has no words to thank us for our gift of support. God bless you all.

Ruth Scott Kellie, Matumaini Children’s Center, Molo, Kenya: writes that with our help, her lawyers are preparing certificates to safeguard land for Charles, her farm manager, and Samuel, her pastor, until they receive their title deeds. Ruth has made provision for her care in her sunset years. Samuel Chibini thanks us for our support to take his wife, Mary, for her checkup. Praise God, she is doing fine.
