November 2019 "My Sheep Hear Me"

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Thank you for your support of this missionary Bible teaching ministry.

Pentecostal Free Church with Ratanga

My Sheep Hear My Voice: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what He sees the Father do: for what things soever He does, these also does the Son likewise. For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that Himself does: and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel” (John 5:19-20)

Jesus Christ is our example of how to walk in the Spirit in perfect relationship with the Father. He did not act on His own. Jesus submitted completely to the Father’s will.

First, in submission there is the power of unity. Even though Jesus was the Son of God, He was in submission to the will of His Father. He did not work outside of this relationship.

Second, these verses show from where the power of God came. Jesus Himself only did what He saw the Father doing. No wonder then that He was successful in meeting the needs of those in every encounter that He had with the sick, those with demonic power, or doing miracles.

Similarly, if we expect the power of God to anoint our lives and ministries, we must first be in submission to the Lord. We must not presume that our good intentions are the will of God.

Then, we have to hear the voice of God in order to walk in unity with the Lord. As we enter into this communion with the Spirit, we will be able to not only discern what the will of the Lord is, but we shall also know that as we do the will of the Father, He will work through us, to accomplish miraculous things. This requires a day by day communion with the Lord in all things.

As we grow in our relationship with the Lord, we realize more and more, the necessity of being able to hear clearly from the Lord. If we are going to walk in the Spirit, we need to be able to discern the still, small, voice of the Lord. This takes experience to discern between the voice of our Lord and the voices of the world, the flesh and the devil. The Lord encourages us that we will be able to hear His voice. “My sheep hear my voice.” (John 10:27) Christ Ministerial Fellowship, Tuscarora Center, Mt. Bethel, Pennsylvania: Gloria and Charles were blessed to fellowship at this ministers’ retreat, October 30 to November 1. Charles spoke on; “My Sheep Hear My Voice”.
