December 2017 Newsletter

Dear Supporters and Friends, Thank you for your support of this missionary Bible teaching ministry. Emmanuel, God With Us: “For unto us a child is born, unto us as son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called, Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace their shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgement and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of Hosts will perform this: (Isaiah 9:6,7)

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” (Hebrews 2:14,15) Joseph Mugo, Omega Pentecostal Churches, Kenya: Mugo reports that he held pastor’s seminars in Chuka, Meru town, Maua, Nakuru, Kirinyaga, and Embu. He solemnized a wedding in Kathari. A youth convention was held from December 4 to 10. Two youth were saved, and others were saved during evangelism. Kenyatta was confirmed as president. However, the opposition says that they will not recognize the Kenyatta regime. Please continue to pray for peace and tribal harmony. Thank you for your prayers for Mugo, and support for his ministry. Buulu Msembwa Andre, Assemblies of God, Kalemie, Congo: Buulu thanks us for the funds he received for his ministry, holding seminars for ministers, couples, youth groups, school students, in subjects like leadership, couple’s life, prayer and worship. Seminars were held at; Kituku, Sympho, Central, and Dave churches in Kalemie. Student seminars were held at Rehema 2, Chicha, Mwendo, and Kichochi, in Kalemie. Praise the Lord, Buulu has already gone to be with his Lord. He wrote me to say he was confined to the hospital in Bujumbura, Burundi. Before, he received the funds I sent for him, he had been promoted to glory. So I asked his secretary to use those funds for his burial. Buulu was my interpreter when we first came to Kalemie, Congo in 1981 and '82, and friend of mine for the rest of his life.

Aoci Etungano Ebongya, Assemblies of God Bible College, Bukavu, Congo: OWM is working with Ebongya to establish a relationship to support AGBC. Aoci sent us pictures of the sixteen students in this First Trimester 2017/18. Aoci writes that they have purchased a computer, and printer/scanner for their Bible school and the CADAF church offices. Funds were sent to purchase a generator to power their computer network for the Bible college and office of CADAF. Thank you for your prayers for this Bible college.

Wallace Njeru Kirigia, Sonship Ministry Church, Igoji, Kenya: Kirigia thanks us for the support sent to him. He reports that he visited four churches in west Maua, where he ordained two elders and also had a revival meeting in all churches together. In east Maua, he had a meeting of three churches. He opened the first church in Maua town and ordained an elder. In Igoji, they held a joint service with five churches. In Embu, he held a pastor’s seminar. From December 2nd to 4th, he visited churches in Nyeri and Kirinyaga to encourage them in purity and to be ready for the day of the Lord. Ruth Scott Kellie, Matumaini Children’s Center, Molo, Kenya: Ruth thanks us for the assistance that she received. She is still wrestling with the local chief to get the title for the land she is donating to pastor Samwel Chibini and her farm manager Charles. She will now be able to repair her stove so that she can have hot water for bathing and cooking. Ralph & Shirley Hagemeier and Stephanie, Kalemie, Congo: Ralph writes that church growth in the Kalemie churches is apparent on all sides. It is a thrill to see saved people going to church and more churches being built and/or enlarged. Ralph and Shirley have returned home in early 2018. They are trusting to purchase a pickup for Stephanie for her to use for many years to come. Ralph and Shirley Hagemeier have been known to us since 1983. Samwel Ratanga, Pentecostal Free Church, Migori, Kenya: Ratanga thanks us for the support sent to him. They have held crusades at Nyamware from May 12th 14th, and Andingo from 1st to 27th August.
