Gerald and Eunice Kelsey

Dear Friends and Supporters, Thank you for your support of this missionary Bible teaching ministry. March Forward to Victory: “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” (Joshua 1:8) As Joshua faced the challenging task of conquering the Promised Land, the Lord assured Joshua that He would be with him and give Israel every place that their feet should tread upon. Even so today, God is with us to give us the victory over all of our challenges and to make us over comers in all the challenges that face us if the pursuit of our full salvation. This should give us the courage to fight to claim all of the benefits that Jesus Christ has made available to us through His death on the cross. With the return of our Lord coming soon, let us press in to take hold of all of the experiences we can to be like Christ. Gerald Kelsey Is Promoted to Glory: Gerald Kelsey was the Registrar of Open Word Bible College in London, Ontario. He was a founding elder of Faith Tabernacle in London. He was also led the Christian education at Faith. At his life celebration, everyone spoke of his example as a Christian gentleman, husband, father, and grand father. He was a public school teacher. He had always wanted to teach in a Bible college. He ran the O.W.B.C. while the Charles and Fern returned to the Congo for their third missionary term in 1992 to ‘94. Joseph Mugo, Omega Pentecostal Churches, Kenya: Mugo writes that he ministered in Meru South, Nairobi, and Coast counties in February. There were forty who fulfilled Scripture by being baptized at Mwatate Church at the Coast. Mugo also ministered to strengthen the Kiang’ombe church in Kirinyaga county. He also had the privilege of officiating at the funerals of two Christians. Mugo is having a very difficult time to find parts to his 1992 Toyota Tercel four wheel drive station wagon. Would you please pray that the Lord will provide the funds necessary to trade this car in for a newer, more dependable vehicle. Kalembelembe Bible Institute, Fizi, Congo: Ekyoci Eciba reports that fifteen students finished the First Trimester of 2016/17. Eciba has written to say that there are now eight students who will graduate with a three year diploma at the end July. Would you pray that God will provide a gift Bible and funds for a graduation banquet for the students and their friends. The students are doing their part by cultivating a garden to help with their food requirements. Please pray for the funds for the salaries of teachers, and supplies for the Bible school. Ralph & Shirley Hagemeier and Stephanie, Kalemie, Congo: Ralph writes, Stephanie came to the Congo in May of 1986. When she saw all the military weapons and wondered what she was coming to. She has more than weathered the storm since then. Through pillaging and two wars she has been as steady as a rock. She started out helping in the Bible school. She began her ministry binding up tropical ulcers on children. Eventually a Medical Center was opened on the 98 acre campus. In 1991, she started helping orphan babies, giving them medical care, giving them milk powder and soy flour. Some now in their twenties have come to thank Stephanie. Also she opened her school with the 1st and 2nd grades. Now she has kinder-garden to 12th grade with 1100 to 1200 students. It is the best school in town, and we give God praise for that. A few years ago, she began giving food and medicine to 60 to 70 prisons twice a week. She gives prisoners used clothing, and enjoys seeing them go home in decent clothes, instead of rags. Radio Kahuzi, Richard McDonald, Bukavu, Congo: Rich states, We started as junior missionaries in 1975. The Lord has been “growing us up” in the Congo, where He has blessed our missionary ministries these 42 years, with many of you coming along side to make it happen! Thank you, and Praise the Lord for His faithfulness day by day! Buulu Msembwa Andre, Regional Secretary, C.A.D.A.F., Kalemie, Congo: Buulu writes that he is now the pastor of the Kituku parish church of C.A.D.E.F. Kituku has 400 members. Buulu recently spoke at an awards ceremony for good behavior at school and in the community. Buulu asks us to pray for these students who live in a corrupt society. They need to become a new good generation for the future. Buulu was my interpreter to preach and teach from 1981 to 1982.
