Omega Church

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Thank you for your support of this missionary Bible teaching ministry. Jesus Christ Was Made Flesh:

The birth of Jesus was unique, “the only begotten of the Father”. (John 1:14)

The birth of Jesus Christ into humanity was a divine birth without a human father. “And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you; therefore also that holy one which shall be born of you shall be called the Son of God.” (Luke 1:35) “Behold a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son; and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is God with us.” (Matthew 1:23) “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus; Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” (Philippians 2:5-8)

Philippians does not say that Jesus emptied Himself of His divinity (Gr. kenosis) to become only a man. Rather, conservative theologians say that He limited the manifestation of His deity to the abilities that are available to Christians who are filled with the Holy Spirit.

Joseph Mugo, Omega Pentecostal Churches, Kenya: Mugo was busy in May with the five Omega churches in Kirinyaga county. They are still young and not strong and therefore need a lot of prayers, and concentration. False teachings and the gospel of prosperity preached wrongly have ravaged the faith of many people not only in Kirinyaga country but also in many other parts of the country. There is a lot of outcry against some ministers who have enriched themselves materially and are not spiritually nourishing the flock. There is a need for the true teaching of the word of God every where more than ever before. Mugo is thankful for the financial assistance which he continues to receive so faithfully. (Kavote is the first village where Willner preached with Mugo as his interpreter in 1973.) Mugo asks us to pray for peace instead of rivalry for Kenya as they enter the next national elections. Kalembelembe Bible Institute, Fizi, Congo: Director Ekyoci Eciba reports that eighteen students finished the Second Trimester 2015/16. Eciba wrote that tithes were paid from the salaries given to the staff of the Bible school. He states that in the class on Christian Education, students are taught about Sunday School, youth, and women and men. He thanks us for prayers for his hip. He thanks us so much for the Lord who is faithful and who has brought us into the same family in Christ Jesus be with us and bless all of our activities. Would you pray that the Lord will provide for the salaries of the staff, class notes, and furniture for the Bible school. Please pray for a spirit of revival to break out among the Assemblies of God churches in Bukavu, Uvira, Baraka, Fizi, Lulimba, Kabambare, Moba, Nyunzu and Kalemie. Congo is also seeing violence in their national elections with candidates murdering competitors.

Ralph & Shirley Hagemeier and Stephanie, Kalemie, Congo: Ralph writes that while in his home town and preparing to return to Colorado, he had a little blurry vision and the next day double vision. Doctors could only bring it to an eye problem--double vision. His daughter Melody and her husband bought him an eye patch. With that, Ralph can see clearly with one eye but with both eyes open he sees double. The Ophthalmologist said that this normally corrects itself within about 4 weeks. So Ralph was given permission to drive to Lubbock, Texas for the District Council of the West Texas Assemblies of God. Only a very few times has he had double vision. But 95% of the time he had clear vision. Ralph is writing to send the good news now knowing "we are almost there". "Thank You For Your Prayers".

Masangu Lwenyeke, Church of the God Shepherd, Kalemie, Congo: Good progress is being made on a permanent church building in Kalemie. Pas. Masangu thanks us for the $500 sent to help continue the work. Masangu has been known to us since 1981. Wallace Njeru, Sonship Ministry Church, Igoji, Kenya: Wallace thanks us for the $200 sent for him for his tuition and graduate from a Bible training school. Wallace is overseer of about thirty churches. Wallace has been known to us since 1973.

Thank You for Your Prayers and Financial Support: Thank you for your prayerfully support this missionary Bible teaching ministry. Yours together in His harvest,

Charles Willner
